Embodying TDI's well proven Liqua-Core technology the sealed power solution is ideal for vehicle applications providing an isolated interface between a 400V DC bus and a traditional 12V electrical system. The IP6k9k / IP67 sealed module with connections for high voltage DC input, low voltage DC output and a CAN bus enable the product to be very easily integrated into Electric / Hybrid vehicles. Mounting holes on the side flanges facilitate easy mounting of the product onto a bulkhead anywhere within the vehicle. It can be mounted under the hood or anywhere in the vehicle where space is available.
The Liqua-Core heart of the system has an outstanding pedigree. It has been used in very harsh military applications but also in commercial cars and trucks where reliability and performance at an economic price are paramount. Electro-Magnetic and Environmental qualification tests have shown that integrated Liqua-Core solutions meet the array of applicable vehicle requirements.
The wide range input and output capabilities ensure battery capacities can be maximized. The product can be used as a straight forward DC/DC converter with a fixed output voltage and current limit, or the flexible CAN bus interface can be used to control output voltage and current as well as to monitor converter temperature and operating status.
